How our draws work
Every Joyfall draw is provably fair. You do not have to trust us, you can re-compute the result yourself.
Sealed before entries close
Before sales close we generate a secret random seed and publish only its fingerprint, a one-way hash. We are now locked in: we cannot change the seed later without the fingerprint not matching.
Entrants frozen, with equal chance
When entries close we freeze every confirmed entry into a snapshot and publish its hash. One entry is one slot, with no weighting anywhere, which is exactly why a paid entry and a free entry have identical odds.
Drawn from public randomness
The winner is derived by combining our revealed seed with a public randomness beacon that nobody controls and that did not exist when we sealed the seed. So we could not have engineered the result, and nor could anyone else.
Re-check it yourself
Every completed draw has a verification page listing the snapshot hash, the sealed commitment, the revealed seed and the beacon. Run them through our open-source verifier and you get the same winners, every time.
